Non manifold geometry

Non manifold Geometry

Non manifold geometry is a geometry which was poorly constructed and doesn't meet the standard criteria for a well made 3D model. Non manifold geometry models tend to have edges which connect to multiple faces which aren't necessary for the model.

Non manifold geometry can lead to multiple errors and issues in 3D modelling, rendering and 3D printing.

Two manifold Geometry

Two manifold Geometry is a form of 3D geometry where the geometry has exactly two sides and faces. Two manifold geometry is considered to be well made as it is structured and closed. The reason why two manifold geometry is crucial in 3D modelling and computer graphics is because it is topologically free from irregularities. Any types of irregularities can lead to problems in Modelling and rendering.
